Jobbeschreibung:

This is a 3-year apprenticeship to become a Lokrangierführer:in in Güterverkehr (Railway Operations) with DB Cargo AG, starting on September 1, 2026, at the Kassel location. Training includes shunting freight cars, assembling trains, inspecting cargo security, and adhering to railway safety principles.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Primarily shunting freight cars
Assembling trains by coupling and decoupling individual cars
Checking the functionality of freight trains and securing cargo
Learning vehicle details and railway safety regulations
Occasionally visiting nearby customers and retrieving goods
Starting and finishing workdays at a regional railyard

Anforderungen:

School graduation recognized in Germany
German language skills of at least B2 level
Enjoy working outdoors and have enthusiasm for technology
Responsible and decisive
Reliable
Willingness to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays
