The 3-year apprenticeship as a Lokrangierführer:in im Güterverkehr (Eisenbahner:in im Betriebsdienst Lokführer:in Transport) (w/m/d) at DB Cargo AG in Offenburg involves mainly ranging goods wagons, assembling trains, checking the functionality of freight trains, and learning about the vehicle and safe railway operation. The apprenticeship includes working in shifts, on weekends, and holidays, and requires a medical and psychological suitability examination.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Ranging goods wagons
Assembling trains by coupling and uncoupling wagons
Checking the functionality of freight trains and securing loads
Learning the vehicle inside and out, as well as the rules of safe railway operation
Occasionally driving the locomotive to nearby customers in the region to pick up goods
Starting and ending the workday at the regional marshalling yard

Anforderungen:

School education completed or soon to be completed with a recognized diploma in Germany
German language skills at least at B2 level
Enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for technology
Responsible and able to make decisions
Reliable
Willing to work in shifts, on weekends, and holidays
