Jobbeschreibung:

The job involves a 11-month in-house retraining program in Trier to prepare for the role of a train driver. The training includes theoretical and practical lessons, practical experience at the future workplace, and the use of simulators and tablets. After successful completion of the training, the candidate will be qualified to independently operate locomotives and rail vehicles.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

safe operation of locomotives
punctual transportation of passengers
ensuring the safety-relevant equipment and technical operational readiness of the locomotives
maintaining cleanliness and order inside the vehicle
making expert decisions and taking responsibility for people and vehicles
ensuring passenger information in case of deviations in train operations
dealing with difficult customers patiently and with a friendly smile

Anforderungen:

20 years of age or older
school leaving certificate
ideally a completed vocational training, preferably in the technical field
willingness to work in irregular shift patterns (night shifts, holidays, weekends, varying daily working hours)
proficiency in German (at least B2 level)
willingness to learn, reliability, and commitment
possession of a class B driving license
readiness to prove medical and psychological fitness

completed vocational training in the technical field
proficiency in German (B2 level or higher)
