The job is a 3-year apprenticeship as a train driver (Eisenbahner:in im Betriebsdienst Lokführer:in und Transport) starting on September 1, 2026, at DB Regio AG in Memmingen. The vocational school is located in Munich. The role involves learning to operate trains safely, informing passengers about changes, preparing trains, and gradually taking on driving responsibilities.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Learn to operate trains safely and punctually
Inform passengers about deviations or changes in operations
Prepare and assemble trains for trips
Gradually take on driving responsibilities under supervision

Anforderungen:

School completion with a recognized diploma in Germany
German language proficiency at least B2 level
Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in difficult situations
Willingness to take responsibility and be reliable
Interest in technology
Willingness to work on weekends and holidays
Must pass medical and psychological suitability tests
