The Deutsche Bahn (DB) offers a 3-year vocational training program starting September 1, 2026, for Gleistechniker:in, focusing on track construction and maintenance. The training location is in Freilassing or Mühldorf am Inn, and the vocational school is in Augsburg or Nuremberg. During the program, participants will work outdoors, maintain tracks, and ensure safety using modern tools and machines while becoming an essential part of the railway team.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

You work outdoors with your team on construction sites at our tracks
together you lay new rails and switches, check for damages, and replace broken parts
using modern machines, you renew the gravel under the tracks
you ensure that all measurements are correct – so trains later run smoothly and safely
as a track construction worker you are already an important part of the team and ensure daily reliable train operations

Anforderungen:

You have successfully completed school or will soon do so, and your school diploma is recognized in Germany
your German language skills correspond to at least B2 level
sitting at a desk is not for you – you want to work outdoors
you are motivated and reliable
you enjoy teamwork and like to pitch in
different work locations and working hours, including night shifts, are a welcome change for you
