The apprenticeship as a Gleisbauer:in (track builder) involves working outdoors on construction sites, laying new rails, checking for damages, and ensuring the safety and smooth operation of trains. The training lasts for 3 years, with the first year of vocational school in Koblenz and subsequent years in Ludwigshafen.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Work with the team on construction sites
lay new rails and switches
check for damages and replace broken parts
renew ballast under the rails using modern machines
ensure accurate measurements for smooth and safe train operation

Anforderungen:

School completion with recognized diploma in Germany
German language proficiency at B2 level
willingness to work outdoors
motivation and reliability
enjoyment of teamwork
flexibility with different work locations, hours, and night shifts
