The apprenticeship as a Gleisbauer:in involves working outdoors on railway construction sites, laying tracks, checking for damages, and ensuring safe train operations. The training lasts three years, with practical skills taught in Hoyerswerda and theoretical education in Zwickau.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Work with the team on construction sites
lay new rails and switches
check for damages and replace broken parts
renew ballast under the tracks with modern machines
ensure accurate measurements for safe train operations

Anforderungen:

School completion with a recognized diploma in Germany
German language proficiency at least B2 level
willingness to work outdoors
motivated and reliable
enjoys teamwork
comfortable with varying work locations, hours, and night shifts
