The apprenticeship as a Gleisbauer:in / Tiefbaufacharbeiter:in involves working outdoors on railway construction sites, performing maintenance and repair tasks, and ensuring the safety and reliability of train tracks. The training lasts for three years, with vocational school and workshop training in Nürnberg.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Work on railway construction sites
maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tracks and switches
excavation of trenches
laying pipes in shafts
paving and masonry work
ensuring accurate measurements for safe train travel

Anforderungen:

School diploma recognized in Germany
German language proficiency at least B2 level
willingness to work outdoors
motivated and reliable
enjoys teamwork
comfortable with varying work locations, times, and night shifts
