Anforderungen:

  • Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes technisches Hochschulstudium, z. B. der Fachrichtung Informatik, Mechatronik oder Maschinenbau, alternativ eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse in der Embedded-Software-Entwicklung
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen in der Entwicklung mit MATLAB und Simulink sowie dem Mathworks Embedded Coder und der Programmiersprache C++
  • Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
  • Sehr gutes Verständnis für mathematische und technische Zusammenhänge
  • Innovatives Denken und die Fähigkeit, komplexe Sachverhalte durch technische Ansätze zu lösen

  • Take lead of EPS E/E development, being involved for the full development cycle of the system: from requirements gathering and system design to prototyping, integration testing and release
  • Working closely with suppliers for component development and industrialization
  • Participate in the defining and execution of EPS system test plans, including software and hardware testing. Solve technical problems in the EPS system development process and provide effective solutions
  • Work with feature owners and domain leads to develop and maintain software for specific module functionalities
  • Diagnostics and Event Logging: Implement comprehensive diagnostics and event logging capabilities within the firmware to facilitate debugging, troubleshooting, and system analysis. This includes defining diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), logging system events, and providing mechanisms for data retrieval and analysis
  • Hardware Collaboration: Collaborate with the hardware team to ensure component selection aligns with platform requirements and firmware capabilities. Provide input on hardware design decisions to optimize for firmware performance and integration
  • Interface with vehicle integration and ADAS teams to achieve functional requirements through collaborative efforts
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and to ensure the transfer of knowledge
  • Be responsible for product cybersecurity development, security assessments, and documentation
  • Involved into the creation and validation of the relevant system Functional Safety (FuSa) development

  • Innovation management: development and implementation of new concepts and technologies, in particular by-wire technology, electromobility and automated driving
  • Analysis and testing: carrying out system analyses, simulations and tests to ensure performance and reliability
  • Technical documentation: Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and specifications

  • Identification of China specific requirements and communication towards HQ
  • Technical support to Joint Venture BBAC RD
  • Support engineering change implementation throughout product lifecycle of localized components of all locally produced Mercedes-Benz vehicles
  • Act as the window person between joint venture plant and RD HQ, provide technical support for production engineering issues
  • Working together with Field Quality organization on Chinese market issues
