Data Scientist

• Development and implementation of a roadmap for AI-based products with a focus on recommendation systems and generative AI/LLM applications
• Definition of clear success metrics and KPIs for each product initiative
• Collaboration with our Data Science, Engineering and Business teams to prioritize features, manage the backlog and ensure timely implementation
• Responsibility for the entire product lifecycle – from idea generation to testing and deployment to ongoing performance monitoring
• Coordination of resources, risk management and adjustment of plans based on user feedback and changing business requirements
• Identification of ML use cases with high impact, leading pilot projects and transferring them into production
• Monitoring of model performance (e.g. drift), optimization of existing data pipelines and implementation of improvements based on data-based insights
• Observation of new trends in the field of generative AI and LLMs, assessment of their potential for further development of our products

• Bachelor- or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics or a comparable field
• 2–4 years of experience in product management or technical project management in data-driven environments
• Experience with machine learning projects, especially in the field of recommendation systems and generative AI/LLM applications
• Practical knowledge of Python and SQL
• Good understanding of the machine learning lifecycle – from prototyping to production – as well as familiarity with LLM technologies
• Experience with agile methods or Scrum for managing backlogs, sprint planning and iterative development
• Excellent communication skills to translate business requirements into technical requirements and to coordinate between different teams
• Ability to define clear KPIs, monitor product performance and use data-based insights for product improvement
• Negotiation-proof German and English skills (C1/C2 level)
