Data Engineer Junior

• Creating independent Data Pipelines based on the given guidelines, ensuring reliable and high performance
• Data preparation for assigned use cases within Big Data and BI architecture environments
• Generating data products for recipients across Wiener Linien and providing them in appropriate formats, granularity, and speed for subsequent BI-related steps with BI lead support
• Supporting the BI team and Data Architects in building, monitoring, maintaining, managing, and securing data platforms.

• You are currently studying in the field of Data Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a similar field
• Solid programming skills in scripting languages Python, and/or Scala/SQL
• Advantageous: professional experience in a Data Engineering role, with Big Data methods, Data Pipelines, Big Data Frameworks, and tools like Spark, Hadoop, Hive
• Strong analytical skills, independence, and initiative
• Comfortable working in a team and speak German at at least B2 level.
