Jobbeschreibung:

Chassis EE systems includes many critical and driving safety related components: from EPS(Electric Power Steering), BRS(Brake Regulation System ESP) and expand into Intelligent Active Suspension Control System and TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System). Being a Software/Hardware Development Engineer for such systems at Mercedes-Benz, you will have the chance to work on a wide span of responsibilities.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

  • System development: Take lead of EPS hardware development, being involved for the full development cycle of the system, from requirements gathering and system design to prototyping, integration testing and release
  • Technical implementation: Analysis and implementation of technical requirements in close coordination with mechanical, electronic and software teams. Participate in the defining and execution of EPS system test plans, including software and hardware testing. Solve technical problems in the EPS system development process and provide effective solutions
  • System integration: Ensuring the integration of components and systems into the vehicle architecture. Interface with vehicle integration and ADAS teams to achieve functional requirements through collaborative efforts
  • Innovation management: development and implementation of new concepts and technologies, in particular by-wire technology, electromobility and automated driving
  • Analysis and testing: carrying out system analyses, simulations and tests to ensure performance and reliability
  • Technical documentation: Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and specifications
  • Involved into the creation and validation of the relevant system Functional Safety (FuSa) development
  • Working closely with suppliers & plant for component development and industrialization

Anforderungen:

  • Master degree or above, major in electrical engineering, computer engineering, information engineering, embedded systems, automotive engineering or a related engineering field
  • Profound Chassis EE systems SW/HW (EPS, ESP etc.) design, testing and release knowledge at OEMs or Tier1 suppliers
  • Proficient in automotive brake control systems, processes, standards, and toolchains
  • have an in-depth understanding and insights into the development trends of automotive products and technologies
  • Strong technical know-how on cross domain vehicle network communication protocols
  • Good understanding on Automotive AUTOSAR architecture
  • Strong Ownership and high Motivation to solve difficult problems with cross-function team
  • Strong decision making ability
  • Strong teamwork spirit, willing to share, able to self-motivate, and influences the team with a positive, hardworking, and optimistic attitude
  • Strong mentorship skills with a focus on fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence
  • Fluent English as working language, German is a plus
  • Adequate driving skills. MB or other OEM’s internal driving qualification for hi-level dynamic driving testing preferred

  • Take lead of EPS E/E development, being involved for the full development cycle of the system: from requirements gathering and system design to prototyping, integration testing and release
  • Working closely with suppliers for component development and industrialization
  • Participate in the defining and execution of EPS system test plans, including software and hardware testing. Solve technical problems in the EPS system development process and provide effective solutions
  • Work with feature owners and domain leads to develop and maintain software for specific module functionalities
  • Diagnostics and Event Logging: Implement comprehensive diagnostics and event logging capabilities within the firmware to facilitate debugging, troubleshooting, and system analysis. This includes defining diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), logging system events, and providing mechanisms for data retrieval and analysis
  • Hardware Collaboration: Collaborate with the hardware team to ensure component selection aligns with platform requirements and firmware capabilities. Provide input on hardware design decisions to optimize for firmware performance and integration
  • Interface with vehicle integration and ADAS teams to achieve functional requirements through collaborative efforts
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and to ensure the transfer of knowledge
  • Be responsible for product cybersecurity development, security assessments, and documentation
  • Involved into the creation and validation of the relevant system Functional Safety (FuSa) development

  • Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of steering system architecture, design specification, test plan and testing result
  • Ensure continuous improvements, high performance, and robust issue resolution for all module functions, both before and after product launch
