Buy-side credit analyst

• Stay up to date on economic, political, and financial market developments
• Follow daily sector and corporate news
• Perform in-depth bottom-up analysis of companies and securities
• Conduct detailed sector research
• Build and maintain cash-flow models
• Evaluate creditworthiness
• Determine internal credit ratings
• Analyse debt structures, bond covenants, and relative value
• Prepare and deliver clear investment recommendations
• Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers
• Integrate ESG considerations
• Monitor primary market issuance
• Engage with issuer management teams, credit rating agencies, and other market participants
• Represent the team at industry conferences, roadshows, and issuer meetings
• Contribute to broader team projects, reporting tasks, and ad-hoc analytical initiatives

• Master's degree
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Professional certifications such as CFA (or a strong motivation to pursue one) are a significant advantage
• Prior experience in credit analysis—whether from a rating agency, asset manager, investment bank, bank credit department, or another analytical environment
• Fully proficient in English, both spoken and written
• Knowledge of Czech is required for this role
• Open to occasional business travel across KBC home markets, primarily between Prague and Brussels
• Comfortable working with modern digital tools, including MS Office and cloud-based collaboration platforms
• Experience with Bloomberg and/or Refinitiv is an asset
